the letter.

When Mr Story handed
me your letter the statue was
so nearly completed that I
thought I would not write
until I could say that
the statue was on its way
home. It is now shipped and
I hope soon to hear of its
safe arrival in your city.

I was glad to hear that
you were pleased with the
photographs, the statue itself
will I am sure give still
greater satisfaction.

I shall leave for America
in the course of a week and
hope to have the pleasure
of seeing the statue mounted

on its pedestal before my
return to Rome.

Yours very truly

Randolph Rogers
