George Bond Esq Treasurer -
Dear Sir - I have seen Mr H. S. Waldo, in relation to his lot No the [?] of which are in question between him & the Offices of the Corporation.
Mr Rufus Howe reported in 1850 that the two lots purchased by M- Waldo, contained 1300 f.-
Mr Wadsworth in 1858 reports them as containing 1591 f:- Difference 291 f.
I have no doubt that Mr Howe's mea surement was too liberal; - but M- W purchased 8 years age, on the understanding that the ornamental lot would not vary much from 500 ft;- & paid accordingly.
Mr. Waldo conducts himself very properly 781 in this matter, & is willing to do what the Commee think right.-
I proposed to divide the difference & he assented to it - so that his second lot will contain 781 f. & he will pay you for 146 f. [?]; - He will also pay the $20 for choice money -
Mr Waldo is going away to

Europe very soon, & wishes this business to be closed.-
Please [?] make his Deed, & write to him at Jamaica Plain. -
I do not think he ought to pay interest -
Yours truly C.P. Curtis April 8. 1858
Mr W. has spent some $2000 there
