Amendment to By-Laws passed by Trustees , revoked

On motion of the same gentleman, it was

Voted, – that the amendment to the By-Laws
on the subject of work on lots, adopted by the
Trustees on the , is hereby revoked.
[See Records Vol. 5, p. 247.]

Vote annulling Action of Trustees of , resp'g signs, &c. rejected.

The following vote was then offered by the same
gentleman.

Voted, – that the votes of the Trustees, passed declaring that signs placed on lots
indicating that such lots are "for sale" are offensive
and improper, are hereby disapproved and annulled.
[See Records Vol. 5, p. 241.]

The question on the above vote having been
taken, it was decided in the negative.

Trustees' power to make By-Laws restored; subject to certain qualifications.

The following vote was then offered by the same
gentleman; –

Voted, – that the Trustees of the Proprietors of the
Cemetery of Mount Auburn shall have power to
make By-Laws for the regulation of the affairs of this
corporation, subject to the approval of the Proprietors
at an annual or special meeting, with the notice
for which a copy of said proposed By-Laws, or any
proposed amendment of existing By-Laws shall be
sent to each proprietor.

Judge Warren moved to amend said vote
