Trustees.

Design upon Mt Auburn bill=head used by Patrick O'Brien on bills issued for services rend by him. Referred to Spec. Com. cons. of Prest & Mr Choate.

It having been made to appear by a communication
from the Superintendent, dated enclosing
copies of the bill=head used by the corporation in rendering ac/cs
against proprietors, and of the bill=head used by Mr Patrick
O'Brien
in making out bills for work done by him, that the
wood=cut of Mt Auburn gateway used on the corporation
bill=head appeared also on the bill=head of Mr O'Brien, the
result being the creation of an impression that Mr O'Brien
was an agent of the corporation, or in some way connected
therewith; after discussion, it was

Voted, – that the subject be referred to a special
Committee consisting of the President and Mr Choate.

Chas. W. Freeland Removal of Trees in front of his Lots authorized by Prest

The President submitted and read a communication
dated the , from Mr Charles W. Freeland addressed
to the President and Trustees requesting permission to remove
two trees standing in front of the catacomb tomb erected
on his Lots Nos 699 and 700, for reasons specified. The
President
stated that he had intended to have laid the
communication before the Trustees at the last meeting,
but no quorum having been present at that time, and
Mr Freeland having subsequently been sent by him at the
Cemetery, he had on his own responsibility granted
permission for the removal of the trees, which removal had
been made. The President having requested that his
action in the premises might be ratified by the Board, it was

Voted, – that the action of the President in granting
permission for the removal of trees standing in front of
the Lots of Mr Freeland is hereby ratified and approved.
