Trustees. .

Coolidge Estate declined. Land on W. side of Cemetery & Buckley Estate further time asked.

"The Committee further report that the purchase of the
"Coolidge Estate is inexpedient, and they ask further time in
"regard to the purchase of the land on the Westerly side of
"the Cemetery, and of the Buckley Estate on Coolidge Avenue.

Removal of Engine=House to Stone Meadow "inexpedient"

"They also report that is is inexpedient at the present time
"to remove the Engine-house and its appurtenances to the Stone
"meadow
."

After full discussion, it was

Voted, – that the above report be accepted and placed on file,
and the recommendations thereof adopted.

The following papers were laid before the Board by
Mr J. T. Bradlee in behalf of Mr N. J. Bradlee

Pavement of 100 f in front of Gateway. Supt's Petition to Mayor & Aldermen

(a) Copy of a Petition to the Mayor and Alderman of the City of
Cambridge
signed by C. W. Folsom Supt, dated ,
requesting that the Mayor & Alderman would cause Mt. Auburn
"Street
in front of the gateway at Mt Auburn to be paved with
"granite blocks for the full width of said Street, and for a
"space of fifty feet on each side of said gateway, or one hundred
"feet in all. The grade to be raised one foot in the centre."

Rep. of Com. on Roads & Bridges to Mayor & Aldermen

(b) Copy of a Report made to the Board of Aldermen by the
Standing Committee on Roads and Bridges,,
stating that the proposed improvement would involve an
expenditure of about $3500.– and recommending "that the Petition
be granted when the Cambridge Horse Railroad and Mt Auburn
Cemetery Corporations should agree together to bear one half of the
expenses." Memorandum of its acceptance endorsed on the Report.
