reading of the section in other respects conform to this plan;
both which amendments were discussed and rejected.

One amend^t to the Report adopted _

On motion, by Asa Wilbur Esq^r, it was

Voted. That section four be amended by striking out the
word "or" in the fourth line and inserting "and"
instead, and by striking out after the words
"meeting" _ the words, "either or both, as the Trustees
may direct" _ so as to make both modes of notice
(personal & by publication) obligatory.

On motion by George William Bond Esq^r.

Voted. That when the main question shall be taken, the
same shall be by ballot.

The meeting then proceeded to vote by ballot on the
propositions as thus amended.

The President appointed Mess^rs Charles Hamilton
Parker, Joel Richards and John M^cClellan a Committee
to receive and count the votes. _

The Committee subsequently reported the whole number
of votes cast to be five hundred and seventy five (575): in
