reading of the section in other respects conform to this plan;
both which amendments were discussed and rejected.

One amendt to the Report adopted _

On motion, by Asa Wilbur Esqr, it was

Voted. That section four be amended by striking out the
word "or" in the fourth line and inserting "and"
instead, and by striking out after the words
"meeting" _ the words, "either or both, as the Trustees
may direct" _ so as to make both modes of notice
(personal & by publication) obligatory.

main question ordered by Ballot _

On motion by George William Bond Esqr.

Voted. That when the main question shall be taken, the
same shall be by ballot.

The meeting then proceeded to vote by ballot on the
propositions as thus amended.

Comee to count ballot.

The President appointed Messrs Charles Hamilton
Parker
, Joel Richards and John McClellan a Committee
to receive and count the votes. _

The Committee subsequently reported the whole number
of votes cast to be five hundred and seventy five (575): in
favor of the proposed amendments, five hundred and sixty nine
