After discussion it was

Voted that the report
be recommitted with instruction to ascertain whether
the town of Watertown will permit the use of said
ground for burial purposes, and whether the
Horticultural Society will join in said pur-
chase, and any other points pertinent to the matter.

Horticultural Soc.y _ its ¼ of Expenses of filling land _

Voted that the same Committee be requested to
ascertain whether the Horticultural Society has been
charged with its one quarter proportion of the expenses
of improving unsaleable land under the contract
with it, especially including the region of Mound
Avenue
and Halcyon Lake. _

Mr Austin added to Com _

Voted that Mr Austin be added to the
Committtee.

Proposal of mayor of Camb. to purchase strip of land from Stone Meadow _

A communication from the Mayor of Cambridge
who is Chairman of the Commissioners of the Cambridge
Cemetery
, inquiring whether this Corporation will sell the
City of Cambridge a strip of land from the Stone Meadow
lately purchased by this Corporation of fifty or one hundred
feet wide next to said Cemetery _ was laid before the Trustees _

And the same was referred
to the Committee on Grounds. _
