Compensation of Treasurer _

That the compensation of the Treasurer be
the same as heretofor viz: a commission of 2½ percent
on the sales of land, (not to Exceed $800 per annum,)
together with ½ of one per cent on the amount of the
Repair Fund: _

Salary of Secretary _

That the salary of the Secretary be
Eight hundred dollars and the fees for making
and recording instruments:

Gratuity to Superintend^t $400.

On motion by Mr Bowditch,

Voted that a gratuity of four hundred
dollars be granted to the Superintendent in ad-
dition to his salary for the present year: _

Gratuity of $50 to Gatekeeper _

That a gratuity of fifty dollars be granted to
the Gatekeeper in addition to his salary for the
present year. _

Question of increase of Secretary's salary Referred back to same Com^ee

On motion by Mr Austin,

Voted that the application of the Secretary
for an increase of compensation be referred to the
same Committee (on Finance) to report upon at the
next meeting.

Mr Austin for the Committee to whom was referred
the subject of a monument in memory of the heroes
who have fallen in the present war for the preservation
of the Union, read a report of which the following
