Right to Erect tombs _

Upon motion by Mr Curtis,

Voted that the Committee on Lots be authorized
to grant to the purchasers of lots the privelege [sic] of
constructing tombs and catacombs within the same
at prices to be fixed by the committee, not less
than fifty dollars for each tomb or catacomb,
and they shall be further authorized to grant
to proprietors of lots heretofore purchased the same
privilege at the same price - not less than fifty
dollars for each tomb, which shall be constructed
according to articles 23d and 34th of the By-laws.

Shedd & Edson's Survey _ Additl compen-s[at]ion for. _

Messrs Shedd & Edson, who recently completed the
new topographical survey of the Cemetery, having repre-
sented to the Committee on Grounds that the cost of the
work had far exceeded the contract price, and having
shown by their books the actual cash expenses,

Upon motion by Mr Rand, it was

Voted that the Committee on Grounds be author-
ized to pay Messrs Shedd & Edson the sum of
seven hundred thirty two & 86/100 dollars, ($732.86)
already paid, and for which the contract was made,
it being understood that they have actually expended in
cash, $1,482.86 in completing the survey of the
Cemetery, it was also being understood that they
are to correct all errors that may be found in
the survey and plans (if any exist) free of charge.

The previous transcriber suggested "compensation" for the last marginal note on the page. There is definitely no "at". While "compension" might be what's really there, that's not a word!
