dred dollars _ while the amount of work has
been considerably increased, and they are
satisfied that the compensation is inadequate
to the amount of work, and the responsibility
incurred in the performanc of his duties, and
they therefore recommend that he be allowed
the extra amount of 2½% on the receipts for
bills &c. which they learn will give him about
$350 additional.
In view also of the prospective business of the
Corporation, they would recommend that he be
allowed the same rates in the future; provi-
ded however, that in no year shall his
whole compensation, exclusive of the Repair
Fund exceed the sum of eight hundred dollars.

On motion of Mr Tobey, the report was accepted
and adopted. _
Treasr authorized to execute lease to Mr Spooner, the Gardener _
Mr Rand, of the Comee authorized to settle with
Mr Spooner, the Gardener, and arrange with him
the terms on which he should continue as Gardener
reported that a lease had been drawn, leasing to
Mr Spooner the Greenhouse and lot of land on which
it stands for the terms of three years: _ and, upon
motion by him, it was
Voted that the Treasurer be authorized to execute
said lease, and affix the Corporate seal. _
