Recommendn of Com. on Grounds of a Plan to fill up and layout lots on the Lawn _
commendation of the Committee, which, on motion
of Mr Read, was adopted, excepting the clause
appropriating fifteen hundred dollars, the
adoption of which was moved, and under
the by-law, laid on the table until the next
meeting.
The Committee on Grounds recommend
the following votes to be passed by the Trustees
in consequence of the introduction of a Fountain
into the area called the "Lawn," at Mount
Auburn.
to extend Lawn Ave., &c.
That the Committee on Grounds be instruc-
ted to lay out and finish an extension of
Lawn Avenue across the Lawn, so as to
surround the Fountain lately constructed
there, with a circle or circular carriage
way.
with restrictions as to right to plant trees &c.
That the Committee on Grounds be author-
ized to raise the grade of all the land between
the northerly part of said circular carriage
way and Pine avenue, so as to make it
available for cemetery purposes, at an expense
not exceeding fifteen hundred dollars; _
And that, in order that the view of the
Fountain and Chapel, as seen from the road,
may not be obstructed, it is also
Voted that a clause be inserted in all deeds
of conveyance of said land or any part
