Upon motion also by Mr Curtis,

Voted to reconsider the first paragraph of
the second resolution and amend the same
by striking out the word "daily" in the second line.

And for convenience the several verbal alterations and
amendments were allowed to be inserted in the
resolutions as recorded with the transactions of the
last previous meeting.

Amendt to By-laws refd to Comee which reported Verbal Alterations _

On motion by Mr Nazro,

Voted that the Committee which has reported the
verbal amendments be requested to examine and
report what alterations of and amendments to
the by-laws are rendered necessary by the adoption
of the above-named orders.

It was then voted to proceed to the choice of a
Superintendent, to fill the vacancy occasioned by
the resignation of Mr Jonathan Mann.

Mr Curtis stated that of the three candidates sub-
mitted at the last meeting for the consideration of the
Trustees, Mr Folsum had accepted an appointment
in Col. Lee's Regiment of Massachusetts volunteers for
the war, and ^his name was therefore no longer before the Board.
