Mr Rand then moved _

That it is the sense of this Board
that the following resolutions be adopted,
subject to such verbal alterations as may
hereafter be made: _

Resolve on Duties of amended , Superintenent _

Resolved, _
First, The Superintendent shall have no charge
or control of the receiving and disbursing of moneys of
the Corporation. It shall be his duty at the close
of each [^weekday] to render to the Treasurer, or his clerk,
an accurate statement of the name of each laborer
employed, the amount of labor performed, and the
rate of wages to be paid. If any work be done by the
Corporation for proprietors, he shall keep a particular
account of the same, and, when finished, report
it immediately to the Treasurer. In all other respects
his duties shall be the same as at present.

Resolve on duties as amended of Treasurer.

Second. The Treasurer shall have an office at
Mount Auburn, and shall attend ______
there, at such times as the Committee on Finance
shall order, [^either in person himself] or by his Clerk, who shall
be a person approved by the Committee on Finance,
and for whose acts the Treasurer shall be

I left it to the next reviewer to uncheck the needs review box. Two issues:
1. Brackets are actually used twice on this page while we transcribe using brackets for stuff not on the page. It appears (based on the next page) that the bracketed words are replaced with the superscripted words enclose in the brackets.
2. The heading from the left column seems to have had a line added at a later time rendering the reading of the first with "of" in the wrong place.

As an aside:
It seems as though there is a lot of effort to restrain Mann's activities, yet he has volunteered to continue on until they can replace him. Weird to me that the board accepts this. If they believe he did something wrong, they shouldn't keep him in any capacity and if he really wasn't suspected, they should have declined his resignation.

One must also credit Mann with extraordinary devotion to the cemetery as his marker shows. Were I embarrassed that badly by my employer, I think I would have moved my burial site to Forest Hills!
