should be granted to enter on horseback.

In view therefore of these suggestions, the
Committee unanimously recommend the
adoption of the following rules, which after
a fair trial can be either modified or
repealed. _

Rules respecting Admission on Horseback _

1st That any proprietor who shall make
application in writing to the Board of Trustees,
may upon the payment of Ten dollars,
receive a ticket which shall entitle said
proprietor and no one else, to ride into
Mount Auburn on horseback for the
term of one year, and the transferring,
or loaning or allowing the ticket to be
used by any other person, shall work
the forfeiture of the privilege, which shall
immediately be revoked. _

2nd That no horse shall be allowed to enter
any other part of the grounds than the
regular drive ways used by carriages, neither
crossing any lot nor entering any foot-path, _
nor allowed to go at any faster rate
than a walk. _ Any violation of this
rule shall cause the forfeiture of the ticket.

3rd That the above rules be printed on the tickets,
and that the superintendent be instructed to
see that they are rigidly enforced, and that
no evasion or violation of them be allowed
under any circumstances.
