Stone Roof over Vestibule at Gate _

The President also from the special Commit-
mittee chosen at the last meeting to get
estimates of the comparative cost of a wood-
en roof and a stone roof for the vestibule,
at the main entrance to Mt Auburn,
reported that the former would cost
about $450, and the later $1500. ~ or $1600. ~
and he submitted the following as the
recommendation of the Committee.

+ That the committee on
Grounds be authorized to contract with
J. B. Whitcher for two granite rooms
adjoining the two lodges of Mt Auburn Gate,
to be made mostly conformable to a
wooden model exhibited at the last
meeting of the Trustees by Dr. Bigelow _
and to pay for the same a sum not
exceeding sixteen hundred dollars.

Upon motion by Mr Curtis,
Voted that the recommendation of the Com-
mittee be adopted. _

Resignation of Gardener _

The President as chairman of the
Committee on Grounds in relation to the
resignation of the Gardener, which was
referred to them at the last meeting,
submitted their report as follows. _
