Receiving Tomb Deposits

The Committee on Rules & Regulations of Inter-
ments to which was referred the communication
of the Superintendent as to insufficiency of charge
for Receiving Tomb deposits in cases where
the bodies are left for the Corporation to
dispose of.

Reported – recommending the amending
of the By-Law on Receiving Tombs in such manner
as to require a deposit of twenty dollars,
fifteen of which should be refunded &c, as is
provided in the bylaw.

Voted that the report be accepted, and
that the proposed amendment be referred
to the next meeting of the Trustees.

Land westerly of Cemetery _

Mr Nazro presented the following: _
"That information having been received that
the land adjoining Mount Auburn on the westerly
side
is about to pass into other hands, and
that it is contemplated by the Cambridge Horse
Railroad
to purchase it, and remove their stables
there, which is likely to prove a great detriment to
the Cemetery; and also in view of the great pros-
pective advantage which may be secured to the Cem-
etery by the purchase of said land by the Trustees
