Lot 758. Plan to be altered.

A letter from Mr Howe, made it known that it
appeared from an examination of the ground plan
of the Cemetery that number 758, had been used
twice. Thereupon Voted - That the surveyor be au-
thorized to erase one, and substitute another, ap-
proved by the Committee on lots, to be in unison with
the deeds.

J H Monroe [sic] & A. Stewart petition for purchase of small Lots to be paid for in labor - without choice money

Mr Howe's letter also preferred the request
of John H. Munroe and Andrew Stewart, two men
who have been in the employ of the Corporation
for the last four years, and who have selected
each a remnant lot of 110 or 120 square feet each
and both of whom have buried children, that
they may be exempted from the payment
of choice money for said lots, and may pay for
them in labor. Voted, that this application
be referred to the Committee on Lots with full
powers.

Lots. 1080. & 1081. Perpetual Repair of.

Mr Tisdale presented a communication
from himself and Mr S. K. Hewins, the proprie-
tors of lots 1080 and 1081 particularly describing those
lots and the adjoining land owned by them, and
asking the Trustees to fix a sum to be immediately paid
to the Treasurer, in consideration of which the said lots
and grounds shall be forever kept, preserved, orna-
mented and repaired in the manner set forth in
said communication, so that they may be forever
secured in their good condition _ Referred to the
Committee on Lots.

The text clearly says "preferred," but Kathleen accurately noted in her note above that "preferred" is the wrong word. It should have read "proffered".
