Trustees.

Pursuant to notices issued in the usual manner by the Sec-
retary a meeting of the Trustees was holden on the , at the office of C.P. Curtis, at 12 o'clock noon. present, Messrs
Bigelow, Brimmer, Crockett, C.P. Curtis, Gould and Parker, also
the Treasurer, Mr Bond.

R. Martin's publication.

Dr Bigelow from the Committee appointed at the last
meeting made a verbal statement to the meeting and in
conclusion submitted the following report in writing
" The Committe Report. That the subject be recommitted to
" the same committee with authority to assist Mr Martin
" in the completion of his work with a sum not exceeding
" five hundred dollars; for the committee

"Jacob Bigelow."

Dr Bigelow having retired from the meeting, Mr Brimmer
was unanimously called to preside. The subject of the above
report and the proposed publication of engravings of Mt
Auburn Scenery, was again taken up and after considerable
farther discussion, it was-

Voted. That the Trustees are not satisfied that they have
authority to appropriate the funds of this Corporation to the
purpose of the publication above mentioned.

Also. Voted. That the subject be recommitted to the same
committee with instructions to assist Mr Martin so far as
they can under this view of the powers vested in the
Trustees.

Mr Brimmer from a Committee appointed
on the submitted the fol-
lowing report in writing which having been read
was unanimously accepted.

Interesting that the Trustees felt that they could not use Corporation funds to assist Mr. Martin in publishing a book of illustration of Mount Auburn but still trying to help him do so in other ways.
