to assign a Lot for the erection of such
a monument

The following motion was made
by Mr Parker -

Gifts of Lots prohibited - see next page

Whereas the condition of the Cemetery
is now such as to render it inexpedi-
ent to make gifts of any lands to
induce persons to erect monuments
thereon to public or distinguished
individuals, therefore voted that
the Corporation will make no further
gifts of land for such purposes.
Voted. To lay this motion on the
Table.

Brattle Square Society.

An application of Mr Bond in behalf
of a committee of the Society in Brattle
Square was also laid on the table.
