Interesting to see the numbers relating to lots for the last 5th of 1836. I find it particularly interesting how many more interments there were compared to monuments built.
I think I got most of it, but I added the last pp., so I'll leave it to someone else to uncheck "needs review"
Elizabeth: I think the reference to "5th year" means 5th year of operations of the Cemetery. Once you got that, I think your 2nd comment answers itself.
I got some of the unknown words, but there are still a few left.
Oh that makes so much more sense! And latter on they do refer to years in opperation fairly frequently.
Notes cut and pasted from document:
Note: Not part of transcription. The numbers as transcribed are accurate. The comment "Errors accepted" must have meant they recognized the discrepancy, but either didn't or couldn't figure it out. For explanation purpose, Line 1 refer to the one that ends in 1037.01.
a) Line 4 is the sum of lines 1,2 & 3.
b) First number on Line 5 was an expense but was treated as monies received. As such, the 2nd number on Line 5, should be the sum 4487 (and not the difference: 1687)
c) Adding the correct line 5 to the second number on Line 8 to Line 9 = 10446.70, a $0.34 discrepancy.
