Gardener.

and Robert L. Emmons be a committee to employ
a Gardener for one year at a salary not exceeding
two hundred sixty dollars.-

Voted that the building on the grounds be placed
at the disposal of the Gardener, till further ordered

Comee to purchase land.

Voted that Mr Brimmer be a Committee to con-
tract for a parcel of land lying on the West side of
the grounds, containing about 4-1/2 acres, at a
price not exceeding $_0,00, subject to the appro-
val of the Horticultural Society - provided funds
can be obtained by loan or otherwise without
encroaching on the funds now in the Treasury

mittee of the Massachusetts Horticultural Society,

Gould & Everett-

Superintendant.

Voted that General Dearborn be joined to the Com-
mittee on the appointment of a Superintendant and
Gardener;

Dwelling & Office for Superintt

Voted that Gen. Dearborn, Mr Brimmer & Dr
Bigelow
be a Committee to remove the barn (on
the estate of Mount Auburn,) and fit up the fence
for a dwelling & office for the Superintendant &
Gardener, provided the expense does not exceed
five hundred dollars--
