Q. Is it better to pray alone?

A. Not if you are in perfect sympathy with companions, for there is strength in such companions.

Q. Do you pray in Heaven? A. All acts in Heaven are prayers as all of your acts may be on earth, if done from the right motive.

Q. Is it not difficult here to do always on account of the way other people act and re-act on us? A. Yes, but if you are strong, no other act can affect you - everything, the most simple can be a prayer, and nothing that your bodily desires prompt is [sur?], if done in the right spirit.

Q. Do our guardian angels know all our thoughts? A. They know what is thought unless it is very sinful - You can drive them far from you if you refuse their companionship When you rise above them, as you can do, when you reach God they stand outside in humble adoration of the same Father.

Q. You said we were not yet worthy to have your knowledge, will we ever attain to that state on earth? a. It is possible, but not probable, for it will require great progress. Wisdom is not of any place. God gives it forth always in abundance and each soul takes its fill and as it grows, gets a larger measure.

Q. In the midst of business cares do we not retro grade? A. No, perhaps you are progressing for a child does not know when it grows and so in spiritual things, duties are the soul's food and business if right will not present your progress.

Q. Is it right to think of spiritual things in the midst of wordly people. A. It is well to think of the best always and thus carry around with you a preventive to evil - Do not be in a hurry, growth is always slow, and you

feel that you must get it all at once but that is not God's way and you must wait for the seed to take root be fore you can expect fruit. Examine yourselves, see what is your greatest waekness, try to conquer that, then begin on something else and little by little before you know it, you will find yourselves new beings. Q. Is it a weakness to love one's home and belongings? A. Not at all, it is a virtue _ Earth has its duties as Heaven has its, and you must act well in each place in order to get what was intended for you. There is much false nonsense on some subjects among those who are seeking to win Heaven by their own devices and they tell all sorts of ways but the right one. The family is The highest thing on earth and the relations of husband and wife, father and child,

are the nearest approach possible to God and his creative love. Q. Then asceticism is not a virtue to be cultivated? A. Self control is necessary, but not the useless denying oneself what has been provided to make life beautiful. What you can do without, that your brother may have of your abundance is the highest self-denial.
