Approval on the [sub?] explanation of the Treasurer
Jacob Bigelow
As I understand the bill of 106.84 presented here for payment by Freeman Rice, Capt Winsor has bought his old materials for [a..?] of the Corporation. The fence they has been sold to one Henry M. Bird for $57.84, & probably the Supt will work in the other materials for other customers -- Mr Rice had his lot

newly graded & improved with stonework last year to the amt. of $242.92 & the bill was paid to my predecessors --
His bill is made out on a blank furnished by the Corporation, which probably misled you --
Very Respy
