This contract made this twenty-first day of January A. D. 1870, by and between thte MountAuburn Cemetery Corporation and H. W. Macurdy, both of Boston in the county of Suffolk and State of Massachusetts

Witnesseth In consideration that the aforesaid H. W. Macurdy furnish all the materials of the best quality and perform all the labor necessary for the erection and completion of a wooden building at Mount Auburn for a Public Waiting room at Cambridge, Mass, in accordance with the plans and specifications of N. J. Bradlea Architect and to his entire satisfaction, all of which plans and specifications are a part of this contract: the said building to be completed and ready for occupancy an the 1st May next. Said association will pay for the same to H. W. Macurdy or his representatives when the frame is up and boarded in. One Thousand Dollars; when the outside is finished One Thousand Dollars, when the plastering is finished One Thousand Dollars, and sixty days after completion, the balance Thirteen Hundred and twenty-five dollars, making the whole sum Forty three Hundred and twenty-five dollars.

In consideration of the foregoing engagement on the part of the Mount Auburn Cemetery Association said H. W. Macurdy Agrees to furnish all the materials of the best quality and perform all the labor necessary to complete the

building aforesaid, according to the flaws and specifications, and to the entire satisfaction of said Bradlee for the sum of Forty-three Hundred and twenty-five dollars, to be paid in such sums and at such times as above expressed.

In consideration of Five dollars, each to the other paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and of the foregoing agreements. We the parties above named hereby bind ourselves our successors, and assigns to the true and faithful performance of the contract and in testimony whereof have hereunto set our hands and seals this twenty-second day of January A. D. 1870

The Committee charged by the Trustees of the Cemetery of Mount Auburn, with the duty of erecting a house on the Wyeth estate, Authorize the Treasurer of the Proprietors of the Cemetery of Mount Auburn to execute the within Contract in behalf of the Corporation Edward Austin Comm. on Lots

I certify the foregoing to be a true copy of the original contract in hands of N J. Bradlee — Boston, February 5th 1870 Austin J. Coolidge Secy.
