[Letterhead: Mount Auburn Cemetery.]

Mt. Auburn, October 1869. Mt. Auburn,

Edward Austin Esq.

Dear Sir;

Mr Macurdy wishes me to state the condition of the building in progress of being built opposite the gate; He's raised + boarded own, (Roof and all).

He says when so far advanced He is entitled to recieve The first payment, as per contract and the the building is to be insured for a certain amount!

Whether the "Corporation" is to insure it, or himself is a matter on which he is indifferent and I suppose will be decided upon when you come to talk the matter Over

Very Respectfully Yours Daniel L. Winsor
