Patience continues her loving ministrations to Mr. Hermann
Behr, by sending him the following:

TO MINE KNIGHT.

Dear Love, renew thy heart,
Let it be young.
Ope up thy hungered eyes and look their fill.
Why, yester came and gaily blossoms flung,
Nor stinted o' their scented honey-spill.

This day, oh, see again with youth's clear eyes
The mountain tops, the valleys and the sea.
Could time e'er dim the flush o' morning skies
Or take youth's rosed dream and hope from thee?
Where lies the shore, the tides come ever new,
And they who seek their trove, stand awed to see
The magic splendor of the changeful view,
And wonder that such beauty e'er might be.

Didst contemplate such scene,
No awe might shrink thy heart.
Beauty's thy heritage!
Of beauty thou art part.
