Mr Stevens Sir

Mr Bodoin received a kind letter from you to day He wished me to answer it for him Your letter releived there hearts of a great load They felt that he was ded It did them a deal of good to learn the facts of his case you will long be remembered by them for all kindness for which they are very thankfull

You speak of some money sent to him

That money I sent two weeks ago and a box also before he left for Richmond Can you assist him in geting it Alecx Maher is a [|??] also he is reported missing we have not herd from him yet The Contents of the Box was 1 pair of sheets & pairs of socks some tobacco chease & some apples I am his Agent his father is not able to do his business for him if you can give me any help in geting those things to him and the letter to I will pay pay you if you write me please write on receiving this
