greatest wish.

Having granted one
favor, We now, while thanking you, still ask
another. But having granted this one and
having been a Soldier Prisoner, with, as near
him, you might, perhaps, know more of him
than me, have means of learning, other ways.

If, at any time, you can learn,
anything concerning him, and will inform
us, You will confer a great favor, upon us,
which we will, amply reward you, for doing.
My Parents, Brothers, and Sisters, join with
me in sending to you, our deepest gratitude
for your deep interest in behalf of one
so dear to us, And in stating, we could
communicate with him, where he now is,
And also for your kindness in rendering
information, do us such as will strengthen
the hope that he will again be with us
