May 4 ) Well! Well! Well!! 2.55 PM) A severe hail storm in the Sunny South has just passed over us, leaving the piazza white with hail stones "as big as marbles " Ethel just remarked. The thermometer has descended from 83 to 63, and the 20 degrees drop has cooled the air most refreshingly.
