The Camp Ground contains about 8 Acres and is surrounded by a fence 8 feet high with nails drove in points upwards on the top all around A Guard is [illegible] all around to keep the [illegible] in and the orders are to shoot all that try to get away. But for all that some [illegible] [illegible] even [illegible] some of them [illegible] shot dead, [illegible] are wounded and most of them are brought back so they catch them they confiscate all of their money and [hie?] [insertion]them[/insertion] by their thumbs so that their toes just touch the ground and leave them there for 24 hours [illegible] [illegible] and I happen to be Guard over them most of the time. This Camp is considered the last to keep Bounty Jumpers in [illegible] there is in the U.S. [illegible] also have what we call the [illegible] Horse it is shaped like a horse [illegible] [illegible] being sharp as [nails?] [illegible] have [illegible] [illegible] and legs [illegible] under them it is about [13?] feet high
