MISS AGNES REPPLIER 920 CLINTON STREET PHILADELPHIA, PA.

Dear Mr. de Navarro,

I regret the delay in acknowledging your letter of March 28th -. My mail is very heavy, and is answered, each letter in its turn, as swiftly as my scanty leisure will permit.

Sincerely yours

Agnes Repplier

"The United States is a country of diverse theologies and one creed, of many churches and one temple, of a thousand theories and one conviction. The creed is education, the temple is the schoolhouse, the conviction is the healing power of knowledge. Our belief in education is unbounded, our reverence for it is unfaltering, our loyalty to it is unshaken by reverses. Our passionate desire, not so much to acquire it as to bestow it, is the most animated of American traits".
