delightful innovation. Instead of the usual stereotypical program, Mrs. Mabel F. Barstow*, a member of the music committee of the State Federation, was invited to lead the Club in Community Singing, assisted by Mrs. A. C. Sproul* at the piano, and the lively singing, alternating with the business routine, created a merry atmosphere that the business could not dull. Violin solos by Mrs. Nilman* E. Adams accompanied by Miss Priscilla Riddle, added to the enjoyment of the afternoon. Regretfully the Club accepted the resignation of their President, Mrs. Albert W. Goodnow who has completed three years of exceptional service, a pin from the Club, presented by Mrs. Charles H. Curtis being a wholly inadequate expression of the affection in which

she is held. An anonymous gift to the Club, of $100, was announced as a special tribute to Mrs. Goodnow. Our sole consolation lies in the fact that one of our former Presidents Mrs. Thomas G. Rees, consented once more to take up the burden. Already beloved by the Club, she can lead us sucessfully forward again, and we thank her for making this sacrifice of herself, for our need. Tea was served at the LoringGreenough House. The tables were lavishly decorated with apple blossoms, and the pourers were Mrs. Farnsworth K. Baker, Mrs. Harold S*. Dole, Mrs. Thomas C. Green and Mrs. Joseph A. Locke.

Respectfully submitted, Lucy E. Henderson, Rec. Secretary.
