Meeting of the Executive Board. May 6, 1927.
The regular meeting of the Executive board was held in the Loring-Greenough house on May 6, 1927. Those present were Mrs. Rees, Mrs. Seabury, Miss George, Mrs. *Dillaby, Mrs. Hyde, Miss Gilbert, Mrs. *Beldeu, Mrs. *Cox, Miss *Cox, Miss *Meld, Mrs. Sears, Mrs. Eldridge, Mrs. Baker, Mrs. *Grabill, Mrs. Adare, Mrs. East.
The report of the recording secretary was read + accepted.
The corresonding secretary reported two resignations: Mrs. James Brown + Mrs. *George J. Shannon, and one name proposed for the waiting list. Mrs. Robert J. *Bottomly is proposed by Mrs. Edith B. *Adaire endorsed by Mrs. Malcome Nicholas + Mrs. Florence S. Young. It was voted that Mrs. *Bottomly be placed on the waiting list.
The treasurer's report was read + accepted. Miss George reported that over $19,000. had been paid off on the mortgage since Jan. 30th of this year, that there is left $3500 to be paid.
It was voted that the present name of Household *economics be kept as name for committee.
Mrs. Dillaby reported $380 from the calendars.
Miss George suggested a readjustment of appropriations for the different committees as follows:

Hospitality $100 for 2 meetings + $250 for guest night. Current events $150 for 5 meetings. Has been $120. Art $100. Has been $75. History + travel $100. Has been $75. Home economics $75. (as of present). Literature $100 for 2 meetings. Music + drama $100 for 2 meetings. Has been $75. Social service $75. In all $130 more than old appropriations And $10 additional for each tea. It was voted that the above additional appropriations be made for the committees.
Consideration of $300 to be given for charities
It was voted that $100 be given to Community Health, $10 to the Children's Museum, $75 to the Neighborhood House, $75 to the Family Welfare Assoc., $10 to the Friendly Co-operation of ex Service men, $10 to the New England Hospital for women + children, $10 to the Talitha Cumi Maternity House + Hospital, $10 to the Faulkner Aid Society.
It was voted that $100 be given to the LoringGreenough house by the Jamaica Plain Tuesday club incorporated.
It was voted that a vote of thanks be given the retiring officers.
