Meeting of the Tuesday Club. Jan. 18, 1927.

The afternoon of Jan. 18th was in
charge og the Current events department
Which presented Mrs. Grace Morrison Poole
as speaker. Mrs. Poole in a most interest-
ing way, explained fully the significance
of the bills before Congress the preceding
week when she was in Washington, i.e. the
passage of the extension of the Shepard Towner
act, the failure of the Navy appropriation
bill to pass the House + of the discussions
concerning the Nicaraguan + Mexican
crisis. The last ten minutes of the hours
was given to England + to the situation in
the various provinces of China.
