Mrs. William B. Parker.
The entertainment for the afternoon
was in charge of the Hospitality
Committee, Mrs. John Dane, Chairman,
and consisted of a Song Recital by Mr.
Charles Bennett of Trinity Choir. Mr.
Bennett played his own accompaniments
and gave a very generous program of
old and new songs, ranging from
Creator's Hymn by Beethoven, to
Drake's Drum by Chadwick. Especially
fine was the "Cycle of Songs" by Robert
Schumann, while "The Two Grenadiers"
and the final encore, "Drink to Me
Only With Thine Eyes" were warmly
welcomed, as old favorites always are.
Tea was served at the Loring-Greenough
House. The tables were decorated with
pink and white cosmos, with the tallest
and slimmest of pink candles, and the
pourers were Mrs. Charles H. Curtis,
Mrs. Ingersoll Bowditch, Mrs. Albert
N. Goodnow, and Miss Marguerite Souther.
Respectfully submitted
