Report of Pilgrim Party. Dec. 21- 1920 A gala day for the Tuesday Club was Dec 21, Forefathers' Day when Mrs. Wm. (?) Wheeler opened her spacious house on Alveston St. For the Pilgrim Party. No pains had been spared by those in charge to make the affair a success, and the result fully justified all expectations.
The guests were received by the Pres, Mrs. Grabill, Mrs. Wheeler, and Miss Strode-Jackson, the English guest of hour. Miss Strode-Jackson recited her Ode, "Mayflower Morning"- which has been sung on notable occasions in England, in connection with their Pilgrim Tercentenary Celebration.

Elder Brewster also hired off in the oldtime manner, the splendid hymn - O God, beneath Thy guiding Handand all joined in the singing. The refreshments provided by Mrs. Eldridge ad her committee, appeared as fascinating indivual (sic?) squash pies in paper cases, served with fruit punch.
The decorations were especially noteworthy. Mrs. Wheeler kindly consented to the removal of much of her own furnishing, in order that the eye of the arriving guest might be greeted by a charming old time picture. A real, live baby even rocked in a cradle 300 years old, by the fireplace; and spinning wheels, pewter plates and other quaint objects completed the effect.
