Regular Meeting. Nov. 16. 1920
The regular meeting of the Club was
opened by the Pres. on Nov. 16-
After the Secretary's report, and an-
ouncements, Mrs. Fairley explained
the scheme of raising money for [__?]-
cus Colleges, by cooperative selling of
newspapers, on a wholesale scale.
Mrs. Laird, for the Lit. Cou. presented
Charles [Swimmer?] Alcott, who gave a
clear and interesting account of [scenes?]
and personages in the Life of George Eliot
and their influence on her work.
The lecture was illustrated. many of the
reproductions being a special connection
to Mr. Alcott.
There was a good attendance.
