Dear Mrs. Shipman,–

I was so shocked today when I heard of your great sorrow.

and I wish so much that I could do something to help comfort you. However, it is at justc such times as these that we realize what frail creatures we are.

Anyway, I want you to know you have my love and deepest sympathy.

Come out and spend the day with me sometime. I would just love to have you - just drop me a line when it is most convenient
