BEAUTIFUL LILIES
Nothing can surpass the Lily in beauty, purity, delicacy and stately, magnificent grandeur. A few clumps planted in some place in your yard where they will not be disturbed from year to year, will reward you with abundant flowers. These varieties are, perhaps, the most popular lilies grown, being of easy cultivation, and producing large flowers of delicate beauty on strong stems. Bloom better the second year and thereafter.
AURATUM.--(Japanese Gold-Banded Lily.)--This is justly entitled to the name given it, "The Queen of Lilies." The immense flowers are produced in great profusion and are deliciously fragrant. The large white petals are thickly spotted with rich chocolate crimson, and have a bright golden yellow band through the center of each. Each 20c; dozen $1.75; extra large bulbs each 30c; dozen $2.75.
SPECIOSUM RUBRUM.--These are perhaps the most popular lilies grown, being easy of cultivation and produce large flowers of delicate beauty on strong stems; height from 2 to 4 feet. Blooms in August. Flowers are white, with a deep rosy or crimson band on each petal, with deeper colored spots between. They are 5 or 6 inches in diameter, very fragrant, and have all the hardiness of the Speciosum class. Each 15c; 3 for 40c.
SPECIOSUM ALBUM.--Has large white flowers of great substance, beautifully recurved. Each 20c; 3 for 50c.
LONGIFLORUM.--(Easter Lily.)--This mammoth white trumpet lily, with flowers 4 to 5 inches long, is one of the best lilies for winter blooming, because its grand trumpet-shaped flowers, which give forth a delicate perfume, are wonderfully beautiful and expressive. When planted in the open ground they should be protected during the winter. Each 20c; 3 for 50c.
MELPOMENE.--Words cannot describe the beauty of this variety. Frosted white, spotted, clouded and bearded with pinkish crimson. Petals recurved, widely bordered. Each 20c; 3 for 50c.

TIGRINUM SPLENDENS.--An improved Tiger Lily growing sometimes 6 ft. high, and producing large pyramids of orange red flowers spotted with black. Each 10c; doz. $1.00.
THUNBERGIANUM.--Red and orange. One of the finest sorts for clumps or massing. Perfectly hardy. Grows clean and thrifty and will please. Each 15c; dozen $1.50.
TENUFOLIUM.--The lovely Coral Lily of Siberia, brightest of all lilies, of shining coral red color. Foliage finely cut. This is indeed a little beauty. Each 15c; doz. $1.50.
LEMON LILY.--One of the handsomest flowers for garden culture. It is not a true lily, as the bulb is of a different shape, but the flower is very much like the Lilium Speciosum in form and about 3 in. diameter. The color is entirely different from all others, being a clear lemon yellow of very bright, pleasing appearance. They have also a most delightful lemon fragrance. There seems to be almost no limit to amount of bloom produced. Each 15c; dozen $1.50.

SPECIAL OFFER.--We will send 3 Lemon and 3 Orange lily bulbs for 50c, postpaid.

ORANGE LILY.--(Hemerocalis Demorteri.)--Similar to Lemon Lily, but of fine orange color. A bed of these and Lemon Lilies intermingled will give a most pleasing effect in outdoor plantings, and the grower will be more than repaid by the wealth of blossoms available for table decorations or bonquets [bouquets]. We wish we might persuade all our flower loving customers to try the two lilies mentioned and we feel sure they will be delighted with results obtained. Each 10c; dozen 75c.
DOUBLE CORN LILY.--(Hemerocalis Kwanso.)--A double-flowered orange lily. Each 10c; doz. $1.00.
LILY OF THE VALLEY.--A well known and universally admired spring flowering plant, bearing bell-shaped, freely produced and powerfully fragrant flowers. To grow in open ground select a partly shaded rather moist situation, and they are charming when grown in large patches as their handsome green leaves and lovely sprays of flowers make a beautiful effect together. When once planted and established the crowns increase in number and the larger ones flower each year without attention. Now is the time to set out a bed of these delightful flowers. Our price is low for choice stock such as we send out. Four strong roots for 15c; dozen 35c; 100 for $2.00.

LILIES CAN BE PLANTED EITHER SPRING OR FALL WITH EQUALLY GOOD RESULTS.
