HONEYSUCKLE.--Red Coral.--A shrubby climber and one of the most satisfactory of all plants. Has been a favorite for many years. The odd shaped foliage is showy and attractive and it produces its bright red, fragrant, trumpet-shaped flowers almost continuously. Nice for a hedge or for training over a residence. Each 15c, doz. $1.50. Large dormant plants 25c.
Halliana.--(Hall's Japan.)--For real home vines to climb over your windows and doorways there is nothing prettier than the Honeysuckles, and the Halliana is considered by many the sweetest and most beautiful of all. It is a strong, rapid grower, perfectly hardy and almost an evergreen even in this severe climate. Blooms constantly and profusely from June to November. Flowers pure white changing to yellow, and of peculiarly delicious fragrance. Excellent for trellises or pillars. Foliage is bright, glossy green and makes a dense shade. Each 10c, doz. $1.00; large 2-yr. plants 20c.
Golden Leaved.--Slender, moderate grower; leaves beautifully veined and netted with clear yellow, so that the prevailing color of the foliage is bright yellow; flowers yellow and sweet-scented; fine for pillars and trellises. Each 15c, large 35c.
WISTARIA.--Blue Chinese.--A very rapid grower, and one of the most beautiful of all climbers. It is perfectly hardy, climbing to a height of fifty feet; when covered with bloom it is magnificent. Each 15c; large 30c.
White.--Like above but has pure white flowers and is a lovely climber. It is a strong, vigorous grower and flowers are freely produced in long pendant clusters. Each 20c, large 35c.
CHINESE MATRIMONY VINE.--A vigorous growing, shrubby climber which is perfectly hardy and desirable for training on trellis, wall or fence. Every new shoot becomes filled with small purple flowers, which are followed by brilliant scarlet berries which remain on the vine until late in the winter. Although the flowers are not showy, the long stems droop gracefully and make an admirable covering for the porch. Each 10c, large 25c.
HARDY BLUE SOLANUM.--A hardy perennial vine of rapid growth. The handsome cut foliage makes a beautiful shade for porch or arbor and is also desirable to train along fences, etc. It is covered during the summer months with hundreds of clusters of blue flowers, brightly set off with golden stamens; clusters measuring 15 inches in circumference. The flowers are succeeded by bright scarlet berries. When you consider its handsome foliage and beautiful flowers and berries, and hardiness, it is difficult to find a more satisfactory climber. Each 15c.
