FLOWER PLANTS.
It is now just twenty-one years since we purchased a range of greenhouses and employed experienced florists to look after this branch of our business. All their time and attention has been devoted to growing flower plants and bulbs exclusively for the mail order trade, as for this purpose they require special culture in greenhouses kept at a low temperature so that they will be hardy, healthy and vigorous. Plants grown in the high temperature at which most florists are obliged to keep their houses in order to produce cut flowers, grow so rapidly that they are soft, succulent and not fit for sending through the mails. The common hothouse grown plants are ill prepared to stand shipment or the great change of temperature to ordinary house culture or outdoor bedding. We are filling orders constantly from every state and also from various parts of Canada, Mexico, etc. Our system of packing is so very complete that plants arrive in almost as perfect condition after traveling many hundreds of miles as they were when packed.

ASPARAGUS.--Plumosus Nanus.--One of the handsomest of our foliage plants for pot culture, beautiful the year round, and there is no more decorative plant in the entire list. Easily grown even in a north window. Leaves are bright green gracefully arched, as finely woven as the finest silken mesh; their lasting qualities, when cut, are remarkable, retaining their freshness for weeks. Each 15c, large 25c.

Sprengeri.--A splendid new plant for hanging baskets or pots. It droops most naturally, sending out numerous feathery fronds which in a short time make a growth of 3 to 6 feet forming an exquisitely handsome and striking picture. It produces small white flowers which are succeeded by red berries. A well established plant is literally a mass of emerald green. Nice young plants each 10c, large plants each 25c.
AGERATUM.--Princess Pauline.--A most distinct and novel variety, of dwarf, compact habit, rarely exceeding five inches in height, its peculiarity being that both colors, blue and white, are combined in the same flower. This pretty variegation gives the flower a most charming appearance, and it is one of the most distinct and beautiful new bedding plants now on the market. It is free flowering the entire season and very bright and pretty. Each 10c, dozen $1.00.
White Swan.--A beautiful pure white variety, having large clusters of pretty flowers, very desirable for borders or bedding. Each 10c, dozen 75c.
Stella Gurney.--Color a deep even blue and literally forming a sheet of bloom all summer. Dwarf and compact in growth. Each 15c, dozen $1.25.

SWEET ALYSSUM.--Variegated.--A charming little novelty, the flower having all the sweet grace and beauty of the common sweet alyssum, being pure white and produced in numerous spikes which cover the plant. Quite fragrant. It has the further advantage of beautifully variegated green and white foliage and is attractive for borders, bedding or pot culture. Each 10c, doz. 90c.

Single White.--Nice little pure white flowers. Each 10c, dozen 60c.
Double.--Very desirable for either pots or bedding. Each 10c, dozen 75c.
ARAUCARIA.--Excelsa.--This beautiful plant resembles the pine somewhat in appearance, though much finer in texture, and is particularly adapted to table decoration. It is most unique in appearance. Its deep green feathery foliage arranged in whorls--rising one above the other at regular distance makes it a plant of rare value for house or conservatory decorations. Must be sent by express; too large to mail. Each $1.00, $2.00 and $3.00.
ASTERS.--All the best varieties mixed. Doz. 75c, 100 $3.00. Charges prepaid.

ABUTILON.--Savitzi.--One of the most beautiful new variegated-leaved plants in existence. Its large maple-like leaves are almost white, being blotched here and there only with clear, bright green, a most charming contrast, heightened still more by the very large, orange-colored, bell-shaped flowers with which the plant is always covered. It is most admirably adapted as a border for Cannas, Geraniums and other taller plants. Each 15c, 4 for 50c.

Eclipse--A most charming trailing variety. The foliage is elegantly penciled with dark green and yellow, a fine contrast, while the pendulous bell-shaped flowers are bright yellow with crimson throat. Nice for vases. Ea. 15c.
Souvenir de Bonn.--A striking decorative foliage plant with beautiful variegated leaves of good size, regularly and evenly marked with white and green. Graceful, drooping orange colored flowers in abundance. Each 10c.
Thompsonii Plena.--Instead of a single bell-shaped bloom, like all other kinds, this has a perfectly double flower of a rich deep orange color, shaded and streaked with crimson. Foliage handsomely variegated. Each 15c.
Golden Fleece.--The best yellow variety; of dwarf habit. Each 15c.
Erecta.--Color pink, changing to orange. Each 10c.
