OK, SO THIS IS MY SECOND ISSUE, FINALLY [underscored]! I'VE GOTTEN SOME FEEDBACK ON MY 1ST ISSUE & [and] I GUESS MOST OF IT WAS POSITIVE - EXCEPT THAT CHEPO CAME BY LOOKIN' TO KICK SOME ASS AFTER HE SAW IT. THEN HE REALIZED IT WAS JUST LIL OL' ME, SO ITS ALL OK NOW.

THIS NEW, IMPROVED 2ND ISSUE INCLUDES A # [number] OF TREATS LIKE AN INTERVIEW, POETRY!?, A SPECIAL PULLOUT ENTERTAINMENT SECTION, SOME REVIEWS & [and] LOTS OF OTHER LITTLE SCRAPS O' SHIT.

BUT BEFORE I CONCLUDE I WOULD LIKE TO THANK EVERYONE WHO EVER SAID ANYTHING NICE ABOUT MY ZINE - AND ME, MY FAMILY, FRIENDS OR ASSOCIATES, FOR THAT MATTER. FUCK THE REST OF YOU LEECHES! AND JUST SO YOU KNOW THOSE NEWTS MY ROOMMATE HAS HAVE ORANGE SPOTS ON THEIR BELLIES & [and] THAT IS THE COOLEST THING ABOUT THEM TO DATE.

LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH, JENNIFER [signature] 2715-A HEMPHILL PK AUSTIN, TX 78705

Ramblin' Girl

OK, SO I'D PUT MORE STUFF IN THIS ISSUE (CAUSE GOD KNOWS I'VE GOT MORE STUFF), BUT I'M AFRAID THAT IF I DON'T STOP NOW I NEVER WILL AND I'LL GO THROUGH THE REST OF MY LIFE SCAVENGING FOR PRINTABLE MATERIAL AND WONDERING IF PEOPLE WILL BE ABLE TO READ MY HANDWRITING WHEN IT'S SHRUNKEN TO 67% OF ITS ORIGINAL SIZE.

WHOA! SORRY THERE.

OK, SO THIS ISSUE HAS A CONTEST! YEP, FOLKS, SINCE FALL IS HUNTING SEASON (ISN'T IT?) THERE'S SOME SAFETY STUFF ON PAGE 15. THIS STUFF WAS TAKEN FROM A PAMPHLET PUT OUT BY THE NRA. HERE'S THE COVER:

[image: illustration, woman supervising two children shooting rifles] [image text: SHOOTING FOR SAFETY]

ANYWAY, ON PAGE 15 ARE THREE BASTARDIZED CARTOONS AND ONE BLANK ONE. WRITE IN SOME SPEECH BALLOONS OR A CAPTION OR SOMETHING, XEROX IT AND SEND IT TO ME. THE BEST ENTRY WINS A PRIZE. I EXPECT MY MAILBOX TO BE BRIMMING WITH ENTRIES BY 1 DECEMBER AT THE LATEST, BUT SEND ENTRIES AFTER THAT, TOO.

AND SEND ME OTHER LETTERS, TOO, CAUSE I'M ON THE BRINK OF SAYIN' FUCK IT TO THIS TOWN AGAIN AND JUST LEAVIN'. SO ALL YOU GEEKS OUT THERE THAT I DON'T KNOW YET GET IN TOUCH WITH ME AND GIVE ME SOME REASONS TO STICK AROUND FOR A WHILE LONGER. DAMMIT!

Dear Jennifer LaSuprema (Geek Zine) and Jennifer (The Roommate),

9-22-94

Yesterday I picked up Geek Weekly at Sound Exchange and I am so excited for you. I think that it's completely admirable that some cool girl got off her ass and put something together. I hope your getting good responses (this being one).

Anyway, I was only visiting Austin yesterday, I actually live in San Marcos (aprox. 20 min South) but I don't even feel like I live here either. I just moved from Fresno, California with my family. And I'm going crazy! I very much like Austin, I think good things are happening there, but I'm having a bitch of a time sniffing it all out. So, if you hear of something try to let me know, and vice is the verse.

I have never heard of Motards/Drags/or Fells But you spoke highly or them and I'll be sure to check em out. You also mentioned Emo's, and I've only been there a few times but I want to make it there more often, starting with next weeks 7 year bitch. They're so good, did you see they're last show? Some fuckin idiot sprayed pepper mase in the pit and they had to leave the stage for a few minutes but they came back on and just kicked ass.

Alright, I wrote you. Usually I would just think of what a good idea writing you would be, but today is different. So, I'll keep my eyes open for the next Geek Weekly and I hope to year back from you.

Yours, Tracy

Hey all you out-o-towners: check out the things to do page in this issue or ask anyone (underscored twice) with a tatoo (sic) they're definitely cool. yeah especially if it's of some skull & roses or, like, a crown of thorns or something
