1/2 cup sweet Milk. 1 teaspoon Soda 1 Egg
2 teaspoons Ginger

1 cup molases 6 Spoonsful shortening
1 tea spoonful ginger 1 teaspoon of soda
flour to make a stiff dough. [Knead?]
the mollasses & milk with the Shortening
rollout very thin. Bake quick.

Cocoanut cake
2 eggs 2 Table spoons of butter 2 cups
prepared cocoanut, 1 cup sugar 1/2 cup
milk 1 teaspoon creamtartar 1/2 soda
soak the cocoanut in milk.
