Saturday, December 25, 1948 - Christmas Day. Uncle Brock kept us awake so much last night that we didn't get up and have breakfast until about 9:30. Rex went to see Jim this Morning. He is better. We ate our dinner about 4 o'clock this afternoon. We ate breakfast so late we didn't get hungry at noon. We all got a good many presents & the trees are so pretty covered in ice & the sun has been shining but it has been a sad Christmas to all except Robert. Lin & Jessie usually spends Christmas Day with us so we have missed her. Uncle Brock isn't any better.
