Friday, September 10, 1948 - Rex took robert to the school parade. I didn't go. I washed some and ironed some and have been busy all day. I got a letter from Aunt Jonnie Anderson. Mother is feeling awful bad. I read some tonight. The school children marched out to the fair, but Robert didnt seem to want to go so he didnt go to the fair. the first and second grade children didn't march with the school.

Saturday, September 11, 1948 - Mother didnt feel like going to town. Beatrice cleaned up the house for me so she stayed with Mother and Uncle Brock. Rex, Robert and I went to town today. We went to the fair this morning and to the Royal Crown show. Robert Rode the merry go round and a little train and some little cars. We went back to town. Robert and I ate our lunch then we went to the Show. We walked to Jessie's afterwards. Listened to the Radio tonight and read some.
