Monday, September 6, 1948 - I wanted to wash today but as it rained some today, we didn't wash. Robert went to school today. There was school at anton. Mother and I made 8 jars of kraut. We made 3.5 gallons of green tomato Catsup. We have been busy today even if it was Labor Day. I read some tonight.

Tuesday, September 7, 1948 - We washed today. The washing machine didn't work like it should. It stopped a good many times. Rex was here this morning so he started the washing machine for me. I finally got the washing done. I made 1 gallon of tomato juice. I went to bed this afternoon and took a nap. I went to see Mrs. Jones this afternoon also. I read some tonight and listened to the Radio some.
