Tueday, August 31, 1948 - I gathered a bushel of peas. Mother and I fixed them ready to can. We filled 14 pints. I canned 7 pints today. I made 1 1/2 gallons of tomato juice. I ironed a few pieces so I have been busy all day. I dont feel well. I read some tonight.

Wednesday, September 1, 1948 - I canned 7 pints of peas. I gathered the butter beans and Mother and I fixed them ready to can. I will can them tomorrow. I ironed some and dressed a chicken. I went to bed a little while this afternoon and read while in bed. I played with Robert some tonight. I wrote a letter to Aunt Jannie Anderson.
