Wednesday, August 25, 1948 - We canned 7 qts of green beans and cut off some apples to dry. It sure is hot today. I don't feel well, this hot weather has made me feel bad. I read some tonight. Robert got home at noon again today. He seems to like school fine and he likes his teacher.

Thursday, August 26, 1948 - I washed some for Robert and ironed some also. I cleaned up the house. Rex went to Dun-Bar Cove today. Several men went there today to a tobacco meeting and Rex went with them. It sure has been hot today. I read some tonight.
