Tuesday, August 17, 1948 - I got part of my ironing done. Rex got us a bushel of peaches and Mother and I pealed them this afternoon. I canned 3 1/2 gallons and made the rest in presearves.

Wednesday, August 18, 1948 - Rex went to town today court met. Mother and I canned 1 gallon of tomatoes and made 9 gallons and 1 qt of grape juice. I finished ironing. We have had a busy day. Loyd came this morning and brought Mother and my checks. they went to Fletchers mailbox, we got $174.36 each.
