Saturday, August 7, 1948 - Rex, Robert, Betty Wiley and I went to town this morning. Robert and I ate our lunch then we wen't to the Show. Betty wen't to the Show before we did so when we came out of the Show we couldn't find her. Robert and I walked to Jessie's. Rex went back down in town and looked for Betty, but couldn't find her. We came by Mrs. Wiley's. We thought Betty might have already came home, but she wasn't at home. Rex and Robert went back to town and found her in a few minutes.
Sunday, August 8, 1948 - Robert and I went to Sunday School on the bus at Liberty this morning. Mother, Rex, Robert and I went to pleasant view this afternoon. Today is meeting day. Mother went in to hear Rev Cole preach even if he was late. He had already started preaching. Rex, Robert and I went down to the mines and went in the concrete black house. I like the house fine. Mother likes the monument fine. I am sure glad she was pleased.
